Hemp Liners

A drop-in replacement for Styrofoam box liners, built from sustainably refined hemp fiber. The Hemp Liner fits standard corrugated cartons, ships flat to minimize storage footprint, and delivers thermal performance that meets USP <1079> transit requirements for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and perishable food shipments.

Unlike expanded polystyrene, hemp is curbside compostable — which matters when your buyers are tracking EPR compliance and PBM sustainability scorecards.

Specification Value ASTM Standard
R-Value ~3.7 per inch (R3.69/in) ASTM C518
Thermal Conductivity 0.040 W/m·K ASTM C518
Density 2.81 lbs/ft³ ASTM C209
Vapor Permeability 0.647 Perms / 37 ng/Pa·s·m² ASTM E1354
Composition 90% hemp fiber, 10% polymer fiber —
Nominal Thickness 1.5" —
  • Flat-ship profile reduces inbound freight cost and warehouse cube

  • Curbside recyclable and compostable — no special disposal required by the recipient

  • VOC-free and non-allergenic — compliant with clean-room and pharmaceutical handling environments

  • USDA Certified Biobased Product at 89% — supports ESG reporting and sustainability scorecards

Sustainable by composition,
not by claim.

Hemp fiber's environmental profile is verified at the material level — not offset-purchased, not carbon-accounted through a registry. The cultivation itself sequesters more carbon than the full manufacturing and logistics chain produces.
Composition
90% natural plant fiber, 10% polymer fiber. Non-allergenic, contains no VOCs.
Manufacturing
Low embodied energy production. Energy-efficient processing of raw hemp fiber batt.
End of Life
Recoverable, recyclable, and compostable. Accepted in standard curbside streams.

Chemical Profile
VOC-free. Red List Chemical free. Safe for pharmaceutical handling environments.

Every square meter of hemp naturally locks away carbon during cultivation — helping offset CO₂ across the full product life cycle. The net result: a carbon negative insulation material with no performance tradeoff.
